As a Program Manager at Merck , you will be part of inventing tomorrow. We are building a team where great people come together and deliver solutions that save and improve lives. The selected candidate will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual that is able to work collaboratively with business divisions, engineering teams and other stakeholders to successfully deliver business outcomes. The candidate will combine the expertise of schedule management, resource management, stakeholder management, financial management and scope management while adhering to Merck’s compliance standards. The candidate will also utilize their Agile expertise to manage daily Scrum ceremonies and work closely with Product Owners. The ideal candidate will also possess the following attributes:

  • Proficient in both project and product delivery methods

  • Ability to work closely with software development and engineering teams

  • Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to solutions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work in a global matrixed organization spanning multiple geographic regions

  • Ability to embrace and champion change, foster innovation, focus on the customer and demonstrate courage

  • Thinks big and is never satisfied with the status quo

  • Ability to engage with software vendors and third-party solution integrators

In addition, this position will have the opportunity to work with fellow Program and Project Managers to improve program and project management capabilities of the Project Management Office (PMO) as we move more projects into the Agile landscape. We are seeking a motivated, talented individual interested in solving problems and while staying aware of relevant industry business, information and technology trends.

Education Minimum Requirement:

  • Bachelors Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, IT, Business or related fields

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 5 years IT/Technology Project Management or Program Management experience

  • 1 years Agile methodology experience

  • Proficiency in MS Project, Jira, Confluence or similar tools

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Scrum Master or other Agile certification

  • Regulated environment experience
