_Unit Description_ __ 4 East is a 25 bed unit specializing in post-operative orthopedic care. All patient rooms are private. The team-oriented unit handles patients both with partial and total joint repairs. St. David’s Medical Center is also a level IV Trauma center. * Shifts are scheduled depending on departments needs * Shift differentials are available * Weekend plans available * Sign-on and relocation bonuses available

_Position Description_ The Position is under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing and the Manager of the Nursing Unit. According to hospital policies and procedures, the Staff Nurse assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients.

_Experience_ Required: RN Licensure in the State of Texas Preferred: 1 Year in the acute care setting as a RN

_License/Certification_ Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas. Current certification from the American Heart Association as a BLS provider. Preferred: Certification in area of specialty.

_Education_ Required: Graduation from an NLN school of professional nursing. Preferred: Completion of or actively pursuing a BSN degree. ** _ _
