The NetSuite Solution Consulting Academy (SCA) is a training program designed to prepare candidates with 3-5 years of experience in business/accounting for an exciting and rewarding career in NetSuite’s sales organization. The 7-month program tasks participants with challenging assignments where they will acquire product and industry knowledge, develop sales and presentation skills, and gain technical and problem solving experience. Solution Consultant Associates (SCAs) will work closely with their team, manager, and SC leadership during the program with the ultimate goal of placement into a full time position with NetSuite.
NetSuite is looking for a Manager for our Solution Consulting Academy. The Manager will partner with peers to evolve this program and onboard/manage a team of up to 10 SCAs located in Burlington, MA, with a focus on building sales, presentation and demonstration skills. The position requires a strong, hands-on leader who has extensive experience in pre-sales and strong analytical skills.
This is an ideal role for a candidate that is looking to take their pre-sales and ERP experience to the next level and mentor a team of new hires just starting their careers. In addition to implementing a training program, the Manager will be responsible for running day to day operations of the team, motivating and mentoring the SCAs, while simultaneously building their skills and increasing their level of responsibility.
Team with Talent Acquisition to recruit/hire annual team of SCAs
Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of the complete capabilities of NetSuite's solution; clearly articulate the benefits of NetSuite's business applications to all levels including line of business managers and "C" level executives
Refine and critique the SCA team’s NetSuite sales pitch, presentation skills, demonstration and solution development
Motivate individuals to succeed through impassioned leadership, coaching, and creative sales incentives
Develop incentive plans and SPIFFs to foster a competitive and collaborative team environment
Drive program and participant success; invest in the success of the team and go above and beyond to mentor a team of individuals to find full time employment with NetSuite/Oracle
Proven experience building/recruiting/mentoring a team
5 years in a pre-sales or professional services role with CRM and ERP applications (NetSuite experience strongly preferred)
3 years in management / and or team lead role
Experience with financial application packages and thorough understanding of accounting principles
Advanced degree / certification strongly preferred – MBA, Masters and/or CPA
Excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) and interpersonal skills (outgoing and personable)
Thrive on working in a fast-paced environment
Effective when working independently and in team environments
Ability to work under pressure with competing priorities
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sales cycle.
As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.
Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Knowledge of software industry relating to all aspects of ebusiness solutions. Demonstrated leadership skills. Strong presentation skills. Ability to travel as needed. BA/BS degree or equivalent.
