Job Description:

Do you want to influence the transformation of one of the IBM’s core businesses? Do you want to help drive adoption for new technologies like advanced analytics, deep learning, machine learning? If so, then the IBM Cognitive Systems marketing team has an opportunity for you.

We are looking for an experienced WW Product Marketing Manager to lead the product marketing strategy and launch execution for IBM Power Systems offerings. This product marketer will be responsible for driving excitement around our hardware and software technology in the market, and with our partners and sellers. This role will be responsible for product marketing, messaging, sales/partner enablement and technical content curation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead product marketing strategy and execution, including how value prop gets delivered to buyers to exceed revenue targets

  • Lead product launch strategy and execution

  • Build strong relationships with Offering Management, Development and Sales

  • Refine raw positioning and messaging, across multiple campaigns, into crisp value propositions

  • Develop specific marketing plans and activities for each market segment/audience

  • Understand broader market trends and know the audience inside and out, and act as a feedback loop to the product managers and leadership team

  • Understand and communicate value of processors, software, storage and server technologies

  • Act as a content SME and storyteller and develop product content such as blogs, white papers, presentations, videos and demos for our Power Systems offerings

  • Engage with clients at tradeshows, conferences and technical sales training or channel partner training activities


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5 years experience in product marketing

  • Passion for emerging technologies required

  • 10 years experience leading complex, high tech marketing strategy and initiatives

  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communications skills

  • Executive-level communication skills

  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams

  • Strong program management and budget management experience

  • 5-10 years experience in tech or other complex industries

  • Ability to collaborate and drive alignment with sales, marketing and product management teams

  • Ability to evangelize product diffentiators, demonstrate relevance, and build advocacy with industry-oriented sellers and marketers

  • Ability to achieve results without relying on formal reporting authority

  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Eye for detail
