*Job Description:


With oversight and direction from the Program Directors/Administrative Director of Medical Education (ADME), the Program Coordinator is responsible for the operational and financial management of the residency training programs and support for the Program Directors and Residents. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of ACGME policies, CPME policies, and hospital policies, as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

The Program Coordinator will continually assess and direct a wide range of programmatic issues including long range planning, recruiting trainees, maintaining databases, communicating with faculty and trainees regarding a range of issues, and managing internal and external program relations. The Program Coordinator is a member of the education design and leadership of the residency program, therefore, ultimately responsible for the residents within the program.

Responsibilities include: 1. Assisting the Program Directors in the overall and day-to-day operations of the Programs 2. Organization of the recruitment, interview and NRMP Match process 3. Functional understanding of ACGME Program Accreditation/CPME Program Accreditation and assist in ensuring the Residency fulfills all appropriate requirements 4. Coordinating the Residency orientation program and onboarding of new residents as well as assisting with graduation ceremony preparations. 5. Coordinating the Resident educational experience in conjunction with the Program Directors and Chief Residents including rotation scheduling, lecture series and resident well-being activities. 6. Preparing agenda, taking and distributing minutes for various Medical Education Committee Meetings 7. Updating and maintaining residency management database with current data such as evaluations, examinations results, rotation schedules, procedure logs and conference attendance.

Qualifications: * High School Diploma/GED; Bachelor’s Preferred * 3-5 years related graduate medical experience . * 1 year previous experience in administration and/or office management in an academic health care setting preferred. * Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Excellent presentation skills * Ability to make decisions independently and to escalate issues as needed. * Ability to efficiently and accurately manage multiple tasks and projects, as well as work independently, with limited guidance, and organize information. * Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality * Working knowledge of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
