Who you are:

Network Implementation Engineer (NIE) will be responsible for configuration and execution of network changes on internal and customer facing network (routing and switching) infrastructure and application (firewall and load balancer) devices. The NIE will work directly with other internal engineering departments and data center personnel to ensure that all customer expectations are being met at the highest possible level.

What you’ll do:

  • Understanding the technical aspects of the standard solution and requested changes.

  • Work directly with customers to validate, confirm and assess their application connectivity requirements after change execution.

  • Execution of network changes on the change calendar.

  • Pre and Post verification of all networking changes.

  • Complete and accurate record for all change execution steps in SDP system.

  • Review requirements with change requestor and customer, if necessary, to ensure desired outcome is met on the first change attempt

  • Assist customers in the change/additional/removal or network services in compliance with change management policy.

  • Assist in the translation/scheduling of customer technical requests into our standard change format/templates.

  • Email change execution issues on networking devices to the Manager of Network Implementation.

  • Identifying, implementing, and assist in documenting/updating of technical SOPs for implementation and maintenance tasks.

  • Ensures that the relevant network infrastructures are in compliance with security policies, procedures, and appropriate PCI/ PII requirements.

  • Perform hardware and software upgrades for networking devices.Assist in developing automation processes, methods and tools that improve cloud and managed hosting operational efficiency and consistency.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Proven experience with configuration of Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Proven experience with configuration of GRE, OSPF, and EIGRP.

  • Experience with 802.1q, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VLAN, MPLS.

  • Experience in firewall management, preferably with Cisco ASA firewalls running multi-context and/or Citrix NetScaler Load Balancers.

  • Experience with upgrading Cisco ASA firewalls.

  • Experience with IPSEC VPN(s) tunnels.

  • Proven experience with Cisco Nexus switching platform.

  • Experince with upgrading NetScalers.

  • Proven experience with Citrix or F5 Load Balancers.

  • Proven experience on JunOS and Juniper MX platform

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • Certification such as CCNP, CCNA, JNCP, JNCIE-ENT, CCA Citrix Netscaler, CCIE Routing/Switching, Security, etc.

  • Knowledge in Network Design.

  • Knowledge on JunOS and Juniper MX series
