The Hertz Corporation Warranty Administrator in Bannockburn, Illinois

General Responsibilities

The warranty administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with OEM manufactures in order to coordinate all aspects of post warranty, and goodwill service requirements for repairs outside of warranty parameters. In the event workmanship situations arise, the warranty administrator mitigates the repairs between both parties on our client’s behalf, and manages the corrective repairs are completed with minimal downtime, and cost to our clients.

  • Process, file, and follow-up with warranty claims with various manufacturers as requested from advisors, and client requests.

  • Review warranty candidates, and clear all assigned warranty claims in pending status on a daily basis.

  • Provide rapid response to various requests from manufacturers to ensure warranty claims are processed in a timely manner.

  • Prepare all documents required by the OEM’s for submission, and provided necessary documentation to support the claim being submitted for consideration.

  • Post credits and warranty funds received, and apply as a credit back to the customer.

  • Reconcile the Warranty Receivable Schedule monthly, and provide reporting of amounts requested, and amounts approved by OEM suppliers.

  • Assist with the follow-up of all unpaid claims as directed by your manager, or clients.

  • Close and post all warranty repair orders promptly.

  • Coordinate with others in the department to troubleshoot as necessary, and confirm repairs fall between warranty parameters.

  • Complete Warranty training as required by OEM, when systems or processes change for submitting claims.

  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental, company goals, and commitment made to our clients.

  • Manage time effectively and efficiently meeting deadlines.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Assist Vendor relations and recall management team as required to ensure proper execution of the recall program.

  • Identify areas within MCC and Donlen where additional Warranty coaching would be beneficial.

  • Ability to Identify trends, and seek reimbursement for missed opportunities for post warranty assistance.

  • Other duties as assigned by management

Skills:

  • Able to work with minimal supervision

  • Experience working with MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) required

  • Must be a detail orientated person, and articulate external conversations verbal, and written.

  • The ability to add, subtract, divide, multiply, and use percentages.

  • Strong communication skills with all levels of management, both internal and external

  • Strong negotiation, and data analyzing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience working with suppliers in a manufacturing environment, preferably automotive/trucking/heavy industry.
