What will I be doing?
As a Maître at Aürt Restaurant at Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona, you areresponsible for managing restaurant operations to deliver an excellent Guest experience.A Maître will also be required to manage, train, and develop team members andwork within all budgeted guidelines. Specifically, you will be responsible forperforming the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Manage all restaurant operations (Fermentation, Distillation, Infusion and Ma’i)
- Maintain exceptional levels of customer service
- Assigns tasks to the restaurant team to ensure high levels of service and excellent operation of the department
- Coordinate and analyse all food orders and, if necessary, assist with recommending pairings or dishes of the menu
- Welcome and accompany all restaurant guests to their tables
- Recruit, manage, train and develop the Restaurant team along with the Executive Chef
- Ensure the grooming standards of all restaurant staff is met at all times
- Supervise and tutor kitchentrainees, completing reports and evaluations
- Have direct contact withsuppliers to ensure an optimal product quality
- Accountable for costs andinvoicing
- Manage and evaluateperformance, motivation and recognition of the restaurant team.
- Proactively involved in thedevelopment of new menus, service and procedures along with other members ofAürt’s team
- Manage guest queries and restaurant bookings in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage Social Media posts regarding Aürt together with the Marketing Department
- Drive sales to maximize budgeted revenue
- Accountable for monthly stock takes of restaurant material and beverages
- Incentivise team members to maximize sales and revenue
- Set departmental targets and objectives, work schedules, holidays budgets, and policies and procedures
- Evaluate guest satisfaction levels with a focus on continuous improvement
- Ensure communication meetings/briefings are conducted and post-meeting minutes generated
- Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation
