Verizon Business Operations Manager in Basking Ridge, New Jersey
What you’ll be doing...
As Manager of Operations and Team Strategy for Consumer and Marketplace Insights (CMI), you will be joining a dynamic and growing team. You’ll support key strategic initiatives and operational efforts to transform our team over the coming years. You will help develop our organizational structure, help craft and manage the creation of executive level presentations, and identify and communicate budget savings. You will be responsible for creating a strong, positive and fun team culture and spirit. You will report directly to and be the ‘right hand’ of the VP of CMI.
Serve as project management interface between CMI and cross functional teams including HR, finance, Customer Experience and CMO Ops teams for all team day to day operational needs.
Manage the organizational effectiveness of the team including developing org structures, writing job descriptions, managing the recruiting, hiring and on-boarding of new managers.
Strategically manage $40M CMI budget including identifying cost savings, working with finance to build business cases for expansion and investment, monthly and annual reconciliation, serve as point of contact for escalation for vendor payment issues and problems.
Support project efforts in defining scope, planning, executing and reporting to stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
Track and manage key executive meetings that VP presents at including developing executive level presentations, tracking action items and deadlines.
Organize weekly staff meetings and follow up on deliverables to ensure completion of outstanding items.
Plan and flawlessly execute large team building events and meetings both on and off-site.
Facilitate the effective distribution of information among relevant audience.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience with proven history of owning and driving results.
Advanced skills in Google Suite productivity and connection tools including; Google Email, Google Hangouts/Meet, Google, Google Drive, Google Slides/docs/sheets.
Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills including ability to create and manage complex spreadsheets with macros, calculations and pivot tables.
Strong quantitative and budget management skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and time management skill, able to keep track of and accurately follow up on all issues.
Even better if you have:
Experience or certificate in operations or project management preferred.
Positive, energetic, proactive, ‘can do’ attitude with excellent problem solving ability.
Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment.
Ability to function efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced professional environment.
Self-starter with strong sense of ownership, proven ability to work independently.
Comfort with rapid changing priorities and schedules and can manage multiple tasks with ability to successfully prioritize and meet deadlines.
Ability to effectively interact with senior level management and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
