Verizon Central Office Support Manager in Basking Ridge, New Jersey
What you’ll be doing...
Lead cross-functional team to support central office initiatives across various regions in the business.
Have knowledge of CO systems and workflow.
Create and communicate process changes and standards to all impacted personnel.
Drive compliance on implemented standards and process changes.
Maintain large project (5G, iEN) progress and track monthly against entire build.
Ability to learn and understand new technologies (5G, iEN) and its impact to Central Office team.
Communicate to leadership team recommendations on proposed changes and impact of such changes.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
Basic knowledge of Intelligent Edge Network flow and how it relates to central office process and procedures.
Experience with operations and other groups dealing with Transport Networks: Unified Transport, Optical, Ethernet, Backhaul (cell site), long haul transport. Voice: Switching, Tandems, SS7, VoIP.
Knowledge of Central Office infrastructure power, FTTP, Ethernet.
Capacity for quick learning and using available tools and methodologies.
Identifiednew solutions to technical and process challenges and procedures.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
