Verizon Wireless Human Resources Coordinator in Basking Ridge, New Jersey
What you’ll be doing...
You’ll be supporting a fast-paced, headquarters-based human resources team. Prepare to be busy because you’ll be performing a wide range of crucial and time-sensitive tasks, ranging from running reports to answering questions to scheduling our orientation and training programs. We’ll also look to you to suggest improvements to our processes so we can be even more effective partners to the business.
Helping the human resources business partners meet their internal client needs.
Making sure transactions are kept up to date in our databases.
Running reports, handling confidential paperwork, and monitoring compliance standards.
Managing new hire orientation, training class schedules, and our onsite Executive MBA program.
Handling disability cases, which includes working with managers and employees who have questions.
Coordinating, assisting with and ensuring office efficiency for the Director – HQ HR Business Partner and team.
Providing high level administrative support that often requires exercise of discretion, judgment and negotiation.
Managing and maintaining Director’s calendar, scheduling meetings and appointments.
Scheduling conference rooms and conference bridges in advance of meetings, ensuring logistics are clearly communicated to all attendees.
Arranging travel logistics (air, hotel, car, etc) as necessary.
Performing routine administrative functions such as responding to inquiries.
Providing information to inquiries, requiring detailed knowledge of team and client’s area of responsibility and general knowledge of company policies, practices, and operations.
Organizing and coordinating office operations, overseeing and managing the provisioning of supplies, equipment and services that enable the team to perform their jobs effectively.
Establishing and communicating procedures used in day-to-day operations and makes revisions as appropriate. This includes processing departmental expenses and limited budget oversight.
Preparing documents including customized reports, presentations, proposals and correspondence. Using discretion with regard to formatting and layout.
Leading and/or participating in short-term projects that are relatively small in scope.
Developing processes for maintaining departmental records and trains other administrative personnel on procedures.
Supporting HQ HR Business Partner team through responsibilities including ordering supplies, tracking deliverables, managing workflow and agendas, coordinating cross-team project items.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
Experience using Microsoft Office.
Even better if you have:
Experience using PeopleSoft HRMS and Cognos.
One or more years of administrative experience.
Project management experience.
Experience supporting multiple people and priorities.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills.
Ability to work well independently and under pressure.
