Verizon Wireless Manager Marketing in Basking Ridge, New Jersey

What you’ll be doing...

You’ll help us understand the enterprise market and how businesses use our products and services. You will maintain our leadership position by anticipating customer needs and shaping our offerings to meet them. Your vision and leadership will help us realize what’s next for the Verizon Wireless Business Group as you care for the product lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Determining what businesses really need.

  • Building the right programs to accelerate product adoption.

  • Testing out new ideas to drive revenue.

  • Develop demand generation strategy and identify opportunities to improve results.

  • Providing input on product development from ideation through launch (PLM).

  • Figuring out the upside and downside of the next thing.

  • Telling us what the market and analysts say and what that means for the business.

  • Helping sellers tell the story of “why Verizon”.

What we’re looking for...

You are curious about what the sales team and customers need and want. You enjoy digging through data for insight into opportunities for how we can help our business customers work and connect in new and better ways.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business, or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience working with B2B, product marketing, training, sales strategy, marketing research, research strategy, or consumer research methodologies.

  • Experience with CRM systems and demand generation strategies.

Even better if you have:

  • Master’s degree – more impressive if you have an MBA.

  • A track record of successful project execution.

  • Digital experience and an understanding of trends and key business drivers.

  • Presented findings and insights targeted to what that audience cares about (up to the executive level).

  • Analyzed what’s important from a variety of sources to provide a holistic view of the marketplace, competitive factors, risks, and opportunities.

  • Juggled multiple priorities to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

  • Designed custom program and messaging approaches with proven results.

  • Translated market knowledge and strategy into compelling stories and tools for the sales team.
