Verizon Media Agency Relations Manager in Basking Ridge, New Jersey
What you’ll be doing...
The Media Agency Lead will be responsible for selecting and managing digital and traditional media AORs , SEO agency and PR agencies. Manager will drive continuous optimization of the media agency roster through effective industry monitoring of industry talent, building compensation structures, performance management (scorecards/incentives) and effective talent management/staffing plans. This role will be accountable for annual and quarterly business reviews with the client and agency to ensure effective utilization of the digital platforms and resources as well as managing business issues and performance levels. This includes the optimization of QBR tools, Performance review materials, Contract/Scope structures for digital agencies.
This role will also be responsible for the delivery of business efficiencies across staffing and media support platforms. They will be responsible for identifying (and implementing) best practice benchmarks and processes for media/PR agency operations and performance and proactively monitor emerging technologies (DSPs, Programmatic, and trading desks).
The media/PR agency lead will provide effective on-boarding and transitioning as roster changes occur to ensure all new partners understand the brand strategy and identity principles and all other processes needed to execute business with Verizon including area marketing local buys/PR.
Manager will partner and collaborate with media/PR clients across all business units to drive agency support model that aligns with investment strategy. Collaboration with procurement and legal teams all key part of role to execute incremental scopes throughout the year, ensure our master service contracts are effectively updated to reflect industry changes and protect Verizon as appropriate. This role will also help with issue management and resolution with Verizon media agencies and marketing teams.
This individual will also oversee an analytics and reporting role for the agency relations team that will manage analysis and reporting of agency (all types) cost structures, cost benchmarks and appropriate modeling for optimizing investments for deliverables (all types). This role will help transform and build new models for agency relationships and new investment approaches such as deliverable based pricing, new agency models.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Five or more years of Media agency experience including TV, Radio, Print, OOH with digital media/programmatic and media data platform experience.
Client management/program management experience.
Experience managing teams and/or cross organizational teams.
Even better if you have:
One or more years of client side experience.
Media planning and buying expertise.
Communications planning experience.
Knowledge of media mix modeling (as a business user).
Data driven mindset and experience to drive decisions/recommendations.
Experience negotiating agency contracts, building scopes and staffing plans.
Procurement relationship management.
Policy development and agency model governance experience (preferred)
Experience directing creative agencies.
Digital platform exposure (programmatic buying, trading desks).
Agency performance management.
Agency compensation modeling.
Agency review experience (RFP building).
Agency roster optimization.
Highly organized and process driven.
Ability to resolve complex problems positively and professionally with array of agencies and clients.
Strong planning and collaboration skills
Work independently and effectively in a dynamic environment and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills that are visually driven
Advanced proficiency in creating presentation materials for executive review
Comfort in working up and across the organization –working with executive staff within and across the organization.
Advanced proficiency with MS Office suite and google suite.
