Verizon Wireless Product Manager - Internet Of Things in Basking Ridge, New Jersey

What you’ll be doing...

Product Manager shall be responsible for owning and driving the development and delivery of services offered by Verizon’s IoT platform. This includes conducting Proof of Concepts, Design and Development of APIs for device and platform functions. Individual must be able to interface with business teams and create/own product development roadmap. This person shall work in a fast paced, cross functional organization structure interfacing with various stakeholders from business, marketing and engineering groups and balance the dynamics to deliver Enterprise Grade Product features.

  • Design, Document and Drive the implementation of IoT device management services.

  • Own Product Design for device clients and SDKs that offer core Machine to Machine services.

  • Drive OEMs and Vendors through a certification program for device/module certification of IoT services.

  • Integrate certified modules into product roadmaps aligning with business strategy.

  • Work with multi-disciplinary teams including Platform Architecture, Business and Engineering teams in delivering best in class Verizon services driving revenue and subscriber growth.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Two or more years of client-server development/architecture experience.

  • Two or more years of experience working with device management functions or Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) or Cellular Modems.

  • Knowledge of IoT protocols like MQTT, CoAP.

  • Knowledge of Security protocols like SSL, TLS.

  • Knowledge of cellular technologies like LTE, 5G, CAT-M, NB-IoT.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Ideally your M.S. in Computer Science.

  • Cisco and/or AWS security certification.

  • Knowledge of UI/UX paradigms and wireframes design.

  • Experience with Authorization & Authentication Technologies: OAuth2, SSO.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross functional and cross customer teams, and deliver on aggressive timelines.

  • Strong technical background, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
