Verizon Senior Sourcing Fleet Manager in Basking Ridge, New Jersey

What you’ll be doing...

The Senior Manager will play a key role in driving technology initiatives in support of Sourcing, Contract Digitization, and Fleet Management Systems.

The individual will report to the Executive Director and lead a team that will deliver business results, transformation and business model innovation.

  • Systems development and operations for Sourcing and Fleet activities.

  • Evolve digitization in Supply Chain by leveraging natural language processing and machine learning technologies.

  • Oversee software upgrade and system support across IT applications.

  • Direct the strategic roadmap, application development activities, production support management, and compliance with CPI-810 and GDPR guidelines.

  • Initiate and assess opportunities and challenges to scale infrastructure services based on usage, business forecast and requirements.

  • Ensure that IT and security needs are up and running for the systems suite.

  • Perform technical evaluations of 3rd party software tools, including ongoing vendor management and financial management.

  • Enhance business processes by being an active business partner – generate ideas and solutions.

  • Prepare and develop the organization for change – deliver transformation.

  • Manage team and staff vacancies based on headcount. Motivate, coach and develop team to maximize productivity and promote professional development.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field.

  • Six plus years of experience managing technical teams.

  • Experience with DevOps, Cloud and Robotics.

  • Strong, demonstrated skills in implementing technology to achieve business objectives.

  • Experience in management position or equivalent experience in leadership roles.

  • In-depth technology knowledge for functional area, preferably within telecommunications environment.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of business systems and processes, especially industry “best practices”.

  • Demonstrated strategic planning capabilities.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent business and leadership skills.

  • Capability to lead at the enterprise level.

  • Capability to regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of the job duties
