U se technical acumen in research and development of robust 3D cad models and assemblies communicating design intend per customer and test requirements.
Perform static and strength of material analysis on designed components and assemblies.
Generates detailed, high quality technical documentation and drawings to capture and communicate designs
Identifies technical problems and provides innovative and creative solutions
Completes assigned tasks on time with minimal supervisionwith robust performance through a plan or program
Uses existing tools and best practices to report and track product and process metrics
Informs others proactively about developments or issues that affect their work, and their ability to meet commitments
Uses collaborative communication style to negotiate win-win outcomes
Debate constructively and accepts ideas from others
Tends to be original and value-added in brainstorming sessions
Complies with Hill-Rom’s Quality System, FDA Medical Device Design Controls and internal design standards.

BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
0-2 years of engineering experience with an emphasis on design.
Fluent in Statics and Strength of Materials.
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and 3D Cad
Exposure to FEA tool usage.
Exposure to DFMA practices.
