The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force
As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers. Approximate percentage of face to face interaction with customers to perform responsibilities is 10%
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

The Solution Engineering (SE) Excellence Hub Leader is responsible for managing the development and execution of ongoing Solution Engineering (SE) programs within one of NAA s core Hubs (Austin, Burlington, and Santa Monica). This person drives program execution, culture and the overall support for our North America Applications (NAA) SE teams within a hub.
The top candidate will have significant experience in defining and developing innovative programs focused on human centered design and optimized adult learning.
The SE Excellence Hub lead is a vital function within NAA with the key goal of improving overall productivity in a hub. This will be accomplished by equipping Oracle s SE in the hubs with the ability to successfully sell, deliver, and support Oracle products, technologies, and solutions.
This position will partner with the Oracle Sales & Partner Academy (OSPA) team and other internal groups (e.g. Marketing, Operations, Business Development Team, HR, etc.) to support multiple Solution Engineering initiatives within the hubs.
The candidate needs to plan and refine programs, as well as lead and manage execution. This is a highly organized and programmatic professional who has experience devising and running similar programs.
This person will serve as a hub champion, hub cheerleader, and cultural & fun ambassador in the hub.

Perform detailed needs assessments in coordination with SE Leadership, Marketing, HR, Business Development, and Operations. Translate business needs into regular hub based SE offerings and programs.
Create, develop, manage, and lead the successful execution of the cross-functional SE programs in conjunction with Sales Leadership, Product Management, Field Marketing, OSPA and HR.
Measure program outcomes based on defined objectives.
Create a spirit of fun and volunteer service within the Hub.
Work with the NAA SE organization to improve the effectiveness and readiness of the Solution Engineering hub community to win deals.
Understand product, sales skills, industry and competitive training needs and drive execution using all resources available (OSPA, SEs, Industry Team, Product Mgmt, Market Readiness Team, etc.).
Assist SE Hub managers with researching, reviewing and recommending new programs.
Assist with organization communication.
Track compliance in the hub for mandatory SE programs.
Ensure alignment of OSPA to SE enablement activities with key internal and external events, such as new product releases, GTM campaigns.
Connect the dots organizationally, network effortlessly and influence various roles, levels and profiles to drive collaboration and program excellence within the hub.

Determine opportunities for improving the SE learning experience, and identify innovative techniques for delivery and consumption.
