Verizon Network Engineer - In Home in Bedminster, New Jersey
What you’ll be doing...
Operations Support (Field) role will be expected to analyze and monitor any adverse impacts to Dispatches and Dropships for our customer premise equipment (STBs and Routers). This could be a result of a product issue or a new release/feature/ enhancement/etc. and therefore, will require a before and after “pulse” for each of these. This will require coordination with the Field support teams and working with front line techs along with their local management to identify trends, record these findings, and help report on them to the CFT team.
Working with Fios, Cable TV, Data and/or Satellite TV.
Troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing and or installing fiber based services.
Utilizing QoS measurement equipment related to the installation of coax, ethernet and Wi-Fi connected In-Home hardware.
Performing Wi-Fi performance measurements in the In-Home environment.
Utilizing analytics to analyze KPIs related to the Data and Video In-Home customer experience.
Analyzing customer trouble history to help isolate production bugs.
Coordinate several work groups to root cause any potential production customer impacting issues.
Working with big data collection platforms(Splunk, Tableau, Mas/Hal).
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel.
Valid driver's license.
Even better if you have:
One or more years of Project Management experience.
Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Experience working in a wireline environment.
Four or more years of field operations experience.
Extensive knowledge onhome routers and network extenders.
