Verizon Wireless Senior Network Security Engineer (CyberArk) in Bedminster, New Jersey

What you’ll be doing...

This position is for a Senior Identity & Access Management expert. As part of the Network Security IAM team, the selected candidate will be directly responsible for solutions engineering, implementation, and providing third tier application support for critical IAM infrastructure. You will leverage your Cyber-Ark, networking, system, database, and IAM skills as you work closely with multidisciplinary teams across the business to address the evolving IAM needs of Verizon’s Network infrastructure.

IAM Engineering

  • Work with IAM architects, engineers, and business analysts to improve and optimize Verizon’s Network security posture.

  • Design, develop and implement connectors and technical components for authentication, authorization, identity provisioning, physical security, and audit & monitoring solutions to provide day one on boarding, off boarding for business enablement, operational efficiency and risk mitigation.

  • Using functional and design requirements, implement IAM program components to address both Logical Access Control Systems and Physical Access Control Systems.

  • Ensure that contractors and Tier II operational support teams follow change control procedures.

  • Create MOPS for internally engineered changes.

  • Engineering review of MOPS from vendors and other teams.

  • Write / create procedural documentation and standards.

  • Work closely with internal and external resources to define requirements.

  • Project manage and supervise integrations.

  • Create methods to analyze and alarm IAM solutions and services.

  • Analyze requirements for network connectivity, alarming and performance statistics.

  • Performance monitoring and service trending analysis.

  • Implement new hardware, Services, and initiatives.

  • Provide tier III operational support to operations for complex issue resolution.

  • Testing and debugging of new implementations.

Cyber-Ark Engineering

  • Build and/or facilitate CA build of new platforms as needed for integrations.

  • Prepare API and usage documentation.

  • Create new connection components for PSM.

  • Write / create procedural documentation.

  • Work closely with internal and external resources to define requirements.

  • Project manage and supervise integration.

Application Support

  • Provide Tier III application support to Operations staff when issues exceed Tier I/II scope or capabilities.

  • Work with the support teams to address system issues or ongoing user issues.

Technical Leadership

  • Provide technical expertise and assistance to more junior team members to include technical direction and guidance when integrating new applications and troubleshooting.

  • Build, update, and maintain technical training documentation for IAM applications and tools.

  • Deliver periodic technical training to team members and internal stakeholders as needed.

Upgrade and Patch Management

  • Work with release manager and other stakeholders to drive compliance with SDLC processes.

  • Validation of patching and changes in lower environments prior to production patching.

  • Apply patches for application components on production systems.

Vendor Management

  • Work with vendors to ensure the proper development and implementation of IAM Architect designs.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • CISSP.

  • Formal Cyber-Ark training or certifications including Advanced Privileged Session Management” and “CPM Plugin & PSM Connector Development”.

  • Five or more years of experience with programming, scripting, database, or markup languages (shell scripting, Java, C, VB.NET, Expect, XML, XHTML, SQL, Oracle, MySQL, web services).

  • Experience integrating tools with Single Sign-on and federated access technologies (Siteminder, SOAP, SAML, RSA, Centrify).

  • Three or moreyears of working with LDAP, Active Directory, RADIUS and directory solutions.

  • Experience with IP Routing, TCP and UDP communication and proficiency with sniffers and networking analysis.

  • Experience in role base analysis and designing/implementing role based access solutions.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills working within complex systems.

  • Functional knowledge of servers including Microsoft Windows Server 2008+, Microsoft SQL Server 2008+, RHEL, and Oracle.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical resources and executive leadership.

  • Ability to work independently and meet multiple deadlines and ability to prioritize and organize.

  • Well-developed organizational and leadership skills.

  • A detail oriented approach to all of your work.

  • Current or past work experience with a mobile carrier.
