IBM Clinical Informatics Subject Matter Expert - Offering Management in BEIJING, China

You will enable clinical laboratories and their teams to create a validated VCF and to understand the nature and truth of the variants that go into clinical reports.
This role is interdisciplinary and involves collaboration with varied clinical laboratories where your knowledge of optimizing, and/or creating, trouble-shooting bioinformatics pipelines will be used. Knowledge of clinical cancer genetics, and lab operations is imperative.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3+ years experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis
Familiarity with common NGS alignment, variant calling, and visualization tools
Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: python, java, c, c++ or perl
Demonstrable experience in a clinical genetics laboratory and knowledge of advanced methods of variant calling, detection, and optimization
The ability to plan, and conduct an analytical validation
PhD or Master's degree in molecular biology, bioinformatics or related field
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

- Ideal candidates will have deep CLIA/CAP (country/region specific regulatory knowledge) diagnostic laboratory experience
