The Offering Manager acts as an entrepreneur, strategist, technical visionary, cross-functional team leader, and client advocate. A Offering Manager has two primary responsibilities: (1) defining the new offering to be built; and (2) managing its development, launch, and ongoing improvement. To fulfill these responsibilities, a Offering Manager leads a cross-functional team. Typically, however, none of the team members report directly to the Offering Manager. A Offering Manager influences the actions of diverse cross-functional team as the market authority, acting as a "General Manager" for their scope of the business. Accountable for projects or programs involving multi- functional, country-wide or regional teams. Responsible for overall functional program success. Activities are subject to business measurements, impact customer satisfaction, and impact functional, business unit, or country costs or expenses.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Managing matrix service development team, with representatives from pre-sales solution support, consulting, marketing and delivery. Develop and deliver on time competitive offerings leveraging global offerings assets and local vendor solutions in the GCG market.
Manage service offering development lifecycle, from market insight analysis, opportunities identification, project charter definition, scope definition, service development, pilot deal acceptance test, enablements to general availability of the service.
Accountable for offering deliverables, such as pricing model, overall offering architecture, marketing and sales collaterals, enablement materials, solution collaterals, delivery readiness checklist, 3rd party requirements, etc.
Responsible for developing Standard PaaS offerings for the GCG market, using RAPID process. Ensure alignment of offering to key industry opportunities, and ensure offerings is repeatable, supportable.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Experiences in micro-services solution architecture, DevOps process and tools
Technical skills in middleware and runtime environment often offered in PaaS, such as containers and container management systems (e.g. Docker Enterprise Edition, Kebernetes)
Familiar with open source PaaS, such as Cloud Foundry, OpenShift
Experience in deploying PaaS offerings and associated offerings in Data services (e.g. ELK stack) and automation (e.g. Ansiblle) will be added advantage
Experience in specific industry PaaS solution in China market is a strong preference
