Oracle Linux and Oracle VM Embedded Senior Inside Sales Person based in “China” .

Oracle seeks an experienced Senior Embedded Inside Sales Person to join its dynamic and growing Oracle Virtualization & Linux Embedded sales organization, covering “Japan and Korea” . This person will bring with them key relationships with organisations and manufacturers that have their own go to market sales routes, selling their own software, hardware or device solutions/IP. To leverage these relationships to sell Oracle Linux and Oracle VM so such organisations embed them into their technologies. This person must demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience in developing and managing complex long term relationships and sales cycles backed up by industry recognised sales methodology such as infomentis. This person must be able to demonstrate strong executive C level engagement, fostering trust based relationships that result in strong long term partnerships with Oracle. This person must demonstrate strong leadership by influence skills as they will be required to leverage the wider Oracle organisation to maximise success. Team player and contributor is of high importance for success, hence is very important and this person must be able to show this.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Personally engage (own the relationship) with key tier 1 companiesto create and presentcompelling TCO and key business outcome proposals.

  • Increase loyalty, activation and adoption of Oracle Linux & Oracle VM to embedded into 3rd party technologies.

  • Create high value relationship based sustainable pipeline.

  • Create a mix of short, medium and long term opportunities.

  • Create net new relationships at C level in tier 1 companies throughout “Japan and Korea” . For Oracle to foster net new opportunities for the future.

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Virtualization & Linux and the market dynamics for targeted growth for Embedded.

  • Forecast weekly with consistent accuracy of /- 5% with justification.

  • Deliver quota on target or above every quarter.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8-10 years’ experience in the IT industry or vertical market

  • 5 years min experience in selling embedded technologies for a key blue chip vendor with advanced level prospecting and qualification experience.

  • Mandatory to Speak excellent fluent English, Japanese and “Mandarin”

  • Able to learn and understand product solutions and features with eexcellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to understand customer's industry and core business processes

  • Strong needs analysis, positioning, business justification and closing skills

  • Effective sales, marketing and project management skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • University degree MBA preferred.

  • Willing to travel is required as 20% percentage of the job.

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to small-and-medium sized accounts. The role is a combination of a Field Sales Rep and Inside Sales Rep.

Works to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory. Territory may be combination of geographic, product, industry and other customer / market dimensions. Sells to the territory directly or via partners. The territory that this rep covers does not have an Inside Sales Rep or Field Rep. Utilizes inbound and/or outbound techniques to identify, qualify and close new opportunities. Manages accounts throughout the entire sales process, and collaborates with team members in business development, consulting and support to uncover all customer needs. Responsible for understanding Oracle's product offerings and competitive issues to develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Travels to customer sites to identify / develop sales opportunities. Participates in the development, presentation, and sales of a value proposition. Onsite customer presentation with C-levels to negotiate and close strategic and complex deals. Liaises with customer contacts for the purpose of managing the customer relationship, identifying new opportunities and maximizing sales.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/ business skills in area of specialization. Failure to obtain results would have serious consequences and need expenditure of resources. May have project lead role. Highly developed selling, customer relations, and negotiation skills. Successful sales track record. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle's competitors. Interaction with C level players. Team player. Demonstrated ability to penetrate accounts and meet with stakeholders within accounts. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Presentation skills. Travels to customer as needed. 8 years relevant sales experience. BS/BA degree or equivalent preferred.
