Market Development Advisor - Supply
No. of Positions:
The role will support the development of Shell’s LNG business in downstream sectors e.g. transportation, industrial and commercial applications by developing and managing a sustainable supply portfolio. The role requires a comprehensive knowledge of the downstream business and the supply chain, strong analytical skills and expertise in deal making. Experience in E2E business would also be an advantage and/or in Trading & Supply in structuring an effecient supply and risk managed portfolio are ideal.
Key activities, but not limited to, are:
Work with Market Development Manager to support market access opportunities by providing competitive supply through a portfolio of existing and newly developed downstream LNG supplies
Build and manage relationship with external and internal suppliers.
Oversee supply related commercial and operational activities. Act as the focal point of SEC to liaise with relevant functions e.g. T&S operations, HSSE, Road Safety, Finance, Credit etc to ensure smooth operation.
Support business case development in PCN and GIP’s for individual projects/deals
Collect market intelligence on supplier, competitors, and regulatory updates that impact the growth potential and value of project/deals and propose action.
Provide support and advice to sales and marketing team member and become a SME on LNG for Transport and LNG for B2B business
Complete Commercial / Economic Analysis
Principal Accountabilities include:
Develop supply and value chain analysis for target new business sectors
Provide input to the development of CVP’s (pricing CVP included) for the various sectors
Assist the Market Development Team Lead DLNG to develop presentation engagements for external customers, technical partners and internal Shell stakeholders
Assist Market Development Team Lead DLNG to manage and develop Opportunity Framing Workshops, Stakeholder Maps and Risk Registers etc.
Work with Market Development Managers to prepare deal proposal with internal stakeholder and negotiation strategies with external stakeholders
Track and monitor progress of supply operations in various stages and sectors, highlighting risks, constraints and enablers
Provide input and variables in the economic modeling tool

Proven track record of success in New Business Development, B2B Commercial Marketing, Sales, Supply, Operations environment or similar experience
Experience in interacting with and managing customers/suppliers and other stakeholders
Ability to negotiate, progress and conclude contracts with external counterparties in China market.
Sound financial understanding,
Self-starter, results oriented and motivated,
Eager to try out different approaches to be more efficient and effective
Exceptional collaborative mindset
Ability to work virtually, strong networking capability
Good understanding of cross COB and organizational governance processes in DS
Prior experience in T&S, gas/LNG, alternative and future fuels commercialization, supply chain business development, and commercial risk management would be an advantage
