group in driving valuable improvements to Oracle Cloud solutions!

Individuals are

empowered to engage and manage governing processes related to the Problem

Management space, which are closely tied to service impacting events. The

role is responsible for the day-to day management of Problem Management tasks

with the goal of minimizing disruptions to the service in accordance with

industry best practices.

As a Problem

Manager, your primary responsibility is to track problems within our

infrastructure technology and product, then identify areas of opportunity to

improve the quality of product and service by applying preventative measures.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are passionate about

problem solving and thrives in working through complex scenarios. To be

successful in this role, individuals will need to earn respect and build

excellent working relationships with multiple teams across Oracle.

Individuals will

drive process governance to ensure timely identification and closure of

problems, the underlying root cause of the event, as well as track the status

of preventative measures to ensure problems do not reoccur. All aspects of

the work are well structured and conducted utilizing industry best practices.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • CoordinateProblem Management activities ensuring root cause and prevention isidentified

  • Preparestatistics, KPIs and trend reports for use in the Problem Managementspace

  • Collaboratewith subject matter experts to refine operating processes and proceduresto deliver and restore services more efficiently

  • Ensureproblem items progress through the Problem Management process in atimely and prioritized fashion

  • Create anddeliver external content regarding service disruptions

  • EnsureProblem Management information reflects accurate details, specificerrors, and is thorough

  • Developtrend analysis and prepare service improvement plans to addressidentified gaps

  • Ensurerecurring service impacting events are addressed with high urgency

  • Manage andmaintain information stored in the Problem Management database

  • Maintain acomprehensive understanding of all aspects of product delivery andoperations

Preferred Requirements:

  • B.S. in

Computer Science or related field preferred, or at least 5 years industry

experience

  • Strong

Program Management skills

  • Familiarity

in the Incident Management, Operations, or Problem Management space

  • Comfortable

in high pressure situations

  • Customer

obsession, passion for delighting customers

  • Understanding

of cloud concepts and platforms

  • Proven

ability to quickly learn new technology

  • Great

verbal and written communication skills

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are standard with some variation; displays understanding of roles, processes and procedures. Performs moderately complex problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 2 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.
