As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

We re seeking a Talented Sr. Software Engineer to join our OPERA Cloud Engineering team. As a Sr. Software Engineer you will apply your expertise and energy to design and implement key components of the Hotel Product Suites. You will utilize your knowledge of software designing to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
You analyze, design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for assigned functional areas of the OPERA suite of products. Your tasks include writing technical specifications, design documentation, coding, unit testing, debugging, integration, performance tuning and maintenance of assigned software modules
You care about creating usable, useful software that solves real problems and brings delight to users.
You can work with little supervision, conferring with superiors on unusual or extremely complex matters. Assignments are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity
You may provide guidance, assistance, and technical leadership to lower level software engineers on more complex/large projects

Requires excellent written and oral communication skills as well as relationship building competencies, you can clearly explain complex technical concepts.

Bachelor s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Engineering or related (Ideally in computer science or engineering)
4 years of IT experience.
Proficiency in J2EE and MVC pattern
Experience in Framework and Platform design
Experience in SOAP Services and REST APIs
Oracle Database programming including Database design, Oracle SQL and PL/SQL
Working knowledge of Cloud technologies
Experience in Oracle ADF and/or Oracle JET
Excellent knowledge creating a responsive UI, proven working experience and understanding of at least one of the modern MVC, MVP or MVVM frameworks
