Localization Program Manager:-
Based in Bangalore and working in India Standard Time, the Localization Program Manager position will support the Localization Manager located in California, USA, in the following areas:-
Coordinate with and support onsite Multilingual QA team to complete the Localization of Marketing assets, including, but not limited to, customer-facing PowerPoint presentations, battle cards, and videos, into Korean, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, European French, German, and International Spanish.
Monitor the QA schedule and update the production plan on a daily basis to ensure resources are properly assigned for all projects and timelines are met. Ensure "business appropriate" and "culturally appropriate" language is used, and the overall quality of the translated assets meets or exceeds the standard of Oracle Corporate localization for each language.
Be responsible for the terminology management process: extract terminology, update or streamline definitions and add other metadata such as parts of speech; maintain the terminology databases.
Distribute translation memories and multilingual terminology databases to all other Localization teams within Oracle.
Manage relationships and regular exchange with publishing team in India.
Skills and Experience:-
5 years of Localization experience, with a good knowledge of IT concepts and technologies.
Video Localization experience highly desirable.
Working knowledge of translation memories, Multi-Term terminology databases and SDL translation tools such as Trados Studio.
Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes at the same time.
Excellent linguistic understanding and good written and oral communication skills.

Develops project plans and coordinates cross-functional teams through meetings and progress measurement activity which bring distinct, specific projects to completion both on time and within budget.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex; independent judgment needed. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Prefer 5 years of project management or related experience.
