Candidate must have knowledge of Retail domain. Good to have experience in testing Xstore (Point of Service) or SIM (Store Inventory Management) applications
Candidate will develop test plans that verify functionality operates as specified in BRDs, and ensure the application behaves properly in the face of unintended usage. Design, develop, and automate scripts that reflect the test plans. Establish a working relationship with Engineering and Product Marketing counterparts and contribute to product feature discussions. Review product documentation related to a feature area and Verify that the documentation accurately reflects product functionality. Take pride and ownership in the product areas under your responsibility and the overall product. Provide timely and accurate work progress via status reports and weekly meetings. Requirements: BS / MS in Computer Science
1.5 – 3 years experience in software QA / software development experience are a plus. Must have good knowledge about QA methodologies, including integration testing. Good to have knowledge of automation tools like Selenium. Good to have programming experience in any language. In Depth knowledge of SQLs would be a plus. Familiar with operating systems usage (UNIX and Windows)
Candidate should have the knowledge of Client / Server Architecture. Excellent written, verbal communication & organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to design and program test strategies, test plans and scripts that effectively test a product throughout development cycle.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for company products with adherence to both internal and external standards. Develops and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results. Analyzes test results and recommends corrective actions.
As a member of the technical/process QA division, you will apply basic engineering principles to develop methods and procedures to improve and maintain product quality standards. Design systems for recording and analyzing of product quality levels. Develop product quality control inspection specifications and techniques and interpret these trends.
Work involves some problem solving with assistance and guidance in understanding and applying company policies and processes. Gaining competence in own area and acquiring a higher level understanding of role, processes and procedures. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 0-2 years of previous software engineering or related experience.
