The Computational Technology team focuses on delivery of faster business decisions from Digital and Computational workflows through deep expertise in High Performance Computing and Visualization. We work closely with Shell researchers and product teams to optimize their existing workflows and develop new workflows to gain the best price performance, leveraging the latest advancements in both Software and Hardware technologies. We also augment workflows with the state-of-the-art visualization technologies to derive additional insights for better decision making. Our work has been deployed in various Shell products across both Upstream and Downstream businesses.
Collaboration with diverse technology groups in Shell to identify opportunities for advanced visualizations in computational and data science workflows to drive faster and sharper business decisions
Conduct proof of concepts, build prototypes and develop solutions in visual computing area
Keep up-to-date on technology advancements in Visual computing and allied technology areas
Build deep understanding of the next generation technology roadmap and its impact on Shell workflows and applications
Individual contributor reporting to Computational Technology Lead
Pro-active, thoughtful contributor, able to work independently and in natural teams with multiple stakeholder groups internally and externally

Shell Technology Centre - Bangalore
Strong programming skills C/C++/C#
Knowledge in scientific visualization, image processing and computer vision fields
Understanding of one or more of following fields human-computer interaction, haptics, augmented reality, virtual reality, human robot interaction, and machine perception
Understanding of computational and data science workflows is a plus
Knowledge of software development processes such as agile is a plus
Good understanding of Cloud Computing environments such as AWS and Azure is a plus
