Senior Web Technologist – WebCenter Sites
will be responsible for solutioning web publishing platform and
personalization features for Oracle.com. Work will require a solid
understanding of both front and back-end web development processes and
technologies. You will help deploy and maintain the systems and
applications that make up the external websites, including content
management/publishing systems, marketing automation, and custom web
applications. All-around experience with websites is desired.
focus is to document, develop, and implement new web publishing and
customer facing site features. Duties include web development,
documentation of technical and business requirements, QA test, and
participation in the entire application development lifecycle.

Operations, Web Publishing, and fellow Oracle.com Web Technology Team
Createand integrate solutions into Oracle’s Web Platform built on Oracletechnologies such as WebCenter Sites, Endeca, Marketing Cloud,participating in the entire application life cycleLiaisonwith publishing team, IT organization and management to gather businesspain points, prioritize, share industry best practices, recommend andcreate appropriate solutions and implementation plans
Determine and document business requirements for publishing and customer facing web sites.
Perform user acceptance testing, report status, track defects to closure and provide sign offs
Provide production rollout support and perform post-go live testing and validation activities
Drivefundamental architecture and platform enhancements with various IT andlegal organizations using proof of concepts, mock-ups, and presentations
Providetechnical thought leadership and lead the efforts to design, developand implement business critical solutions for oracle.com web platform
On-call for support rotation for critical Marketing Business issues
Preferred Requirements Include:
4 to 6 years of proven developer expertise in extremely complex internal systems.
Experiencewith methodologies including Content Management, Requirements Analysis,Object Oriented Analysis and Design, QA and Test Automation, ProjectManagement, Business Systems, rollout strategy and release management,Knowledge Management, and Production support process.
Indepth implementation expertise with Oracle technologies includingOracle WebCenter Sites, Satellite Server, Oracle WebCenter Content,Oracle Weblogic Application Server, Apache Tomcat application server,Apache Web Server, Endeca, and Eloqua.
Experience with gathering, documenting, and solutioning business, functional, and technical requirements.
Experience with personalization SAAS and Data As a Service solutions such as Blue Kai.
Ableto work cross-functionally in a large fast paced environment utilizingstrong communication skills to a variety of audiences.
Project methodology (Agile, PMP or PRINCE2) experiences a plus.
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Responsible for digital marketing of products or services in support of Oracle's demand generation strategy using tools to optimize marketing strategies and enhance the customer experience with new technology platforms and innovations.
Responsible for digital marketing activities to optimize the online user experience, increase marketing effectiveness. Executes online marketing programs such as search optimization (paid and natural search), affiliated marketing, social marketing, and viral marketing to create buzz and inbound demand responses. Drive traffic which ultimately generates sales pipeline. Translates ideas used in demand generation into promotional marketing campaigns and advertising personas. Ensures localized content is leveraged for all digital marketing channels including, web, social, paid advertising and outbound emails Conducts analysis for programs effectiveness and uses the findings for market site enhancements and to leverage optimization of all digital programs. Collects and analyzes digital/internet/website/mobile data and statistics which monitor and measure the performance of digital traffic and activities to support marketing and campaign optimization, lead generation for sales, product and engineering teams for continuous improvements to product and data driven decision making. Applies statistics-based market intelligence to business issues and formulates recommendations on optimizing the user experience and help drive business outcomes. Monitors and analyzes site performance and reviews tracking metrics to provide solutions to increase search engine ranking and creating marketing personas/audience profiles. Researches and evaluates new technology trends and identifies new optimization opportunities.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years related experience. BA/BS degree or equivalent. Proficiency in web analytics applications, strong database skills and technical understanding of website architecture and mobile platforms.
