A leader in this team is expected to provide technical and people leadership to a group of highly competent technical engineers. You will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software application according to provided design specifications. A successful candidate should demonstrate leadership and people management skills, should be a technology evangelist, customer oriented, results driven and passionate about building great products and solutions used by big pharmaceutical companies. He/she should be experienced and hands-on, with the ability to assess different enterprise systems and propose adequate and efficient solutions to prevailing problems so as to improvise/improve them on non-functional and architectural aspects. He/she thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to be involved with real business problems.
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc
Work with cross-functional team members from Architecture, Product Strategy & Development, QA, Sales & Services, and other Central teams to improve performance and scalability of multiple products
Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms
Deeper understanding of architecture principles and methods, technology and standards, actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning
Provide/inspire innovations that fuel the growth of Oracle as a whole
Preferably 1-2 years experience with application development in Health Sciences or Banking domain
BS/MS in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent.
At least 4 years of management experience. Job title dependent on level of experience
10 years of software development experience architecting, designing and developing highly scalable, web based enterprise applications.
At least 3 - 4 years of experience in developing the enterprise grade SaaS / Cloud based products architecture
Good understanding of SQL and Oracle database is a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to dive in and learn complex systems
Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture.
Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
