Oracle Principal Education Consultant – Direct Delivery - NetSuite in Bentonville, Arkansas

Customizes and delivers education services to external customers.

The Principal Consultant/Instructor is responsible for the success of their assigned Oracle learning management/training event and committed to superior customer service. They are expected to develop plans for continuous personal and professional growth. The Principal Consultant/Instructor is expected to master new services, technology and internal processes shortly after their implementation. Manage aspects of the customer event (i.e. instruction, application implementation, environment, setup etc.) to ensure success. Produce quality deliverables on a project (i.e. assessments, communication, curriculum development, Tutor, eLearning). Ability to teach new technical material and/or implement new Oracle Applications modules with minimal preparation time. Review methods, processes, training materials and/or project implementation plans. Identify weak areas and suggest methods for improvement. Meet utilization targets. Travel as needed.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. BS or equivalent technical experience preferred. Has obtained one or more industry recognized certifications (OCP, CPA, CPIM). Has 3 plus years technical or professional experience using Oracle products, methods or related software. Has 3 plus years consulting experience or experience teaching adult learners.

The*Education Consultant*plays a criticalrole in achieving this objective. They work collaboratively with customers tohelp them build product knowledge, increase user adoption and achieve ROI. Theydo this by designing and delivering high-quality, process-based tailoredtraining that promotes NetSuite best practices. This Education Consultant role will focus primarily on direct customersbut may also deliver training to Partners.

TheEducation Consultantworks in ahigh-energy and dynamic environment, delivering training to multiple customersin a variety of industries. This position is responsible for the delivery ofinstructor-led onsite and virtual end user training.

TheEducation Consultantworks inpartnership with the professional services implementers to assess customertraining needs, develop custom agendas and materials (written and elearningtutorials), and deliver quality training to ensure optimal user adoption. Education Consultants may deliver additionalservices such as Train the Trainer, Pre-UAT Training and Post Go Live SupportTraining. Additionally, some EducationConsultants may serve as a Training Project Manager, managing large trainingjobs that require multiple Education Consultants to deliver in a complexenvironment.

Trainingproject team members, administrators and developers is also an integral part ofour charter and essential to customer success. For some Education Consultants, this role will (in addition to End UserTraining delivery) also encompass the delivery of Project Team Training ineither public or dedicated sessions. Public courses will be taught using standard materials and taught usinga standard demo database. Dedicatedsessions may be tailored to the need of the client and may be taught using thecustomer environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the NetSuite application in all functional areas as they relate to customer learning requirements

  • Learn all relevant aspects of current and new product rollouts to ensure ongoing improvement of product knowledge, training and presentation skills, and technical knowledge

  • Take full ownership of customer training projects. Interact with customer as needed for logistics, knowledge transfer and follow-up.

  • Participate in customer training requirements definition and training scoping conversations

  • Recommend business best practices from a user adoption, training and business management perspective

  • Incorporate learning industry best practices and techniques in daily engagements

  • Apply expert knowledge of the NetSuite application to solve the customer business challenge

  • Deliver live instructor led training sessions onsite at customer locations

  • Deliver virtual interactive online sessions and webinars

  • Deliver customer specific end user training based on their implementation project scope

  • Develop customer specific end user training and reference materials (print and/or eLearning), leveraging NetSuite Universal Content Library assets

  • Work with NetSuite implementers to develop end user adoption strategies and training plans for customer implementation projects

  • Adhere to Education Services Delivery methods, processes, procedures, and policies in the development and delivery of training services

  • Participate in the development of new offerings and improvement to processes, providing feedback and suggestions to education program management

  • Act as a subject matter expert to mentor colleagues globally and to contribute to curriculum development


Qualifications/Skills:

Candidatesfor theEducationConsultantroleshould have many of the following qualifications:


  • Minimum 5 years in the technology industry

  • 3 years experience in a functional training role with emphasis on technology and business process training development, design, and delivery

  • Strong presentation, training and group facilitation skills; familiar and competent with audience-engagement methods and techniques appropriate for all types of audiences

  • Excellent understanding of common industry standards as related to ERP with an understanding of standard business practices as related to Accounting (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Invoicing), Sales Force Management, (Opportunity, Proposal, Sales Orders, Forecasting, Territory Management and Quotas), Inventory Management (Purchasing and Fulfillment) as well as support (Cases Management and Territory Management)

  • Ideally, industry experience in one or more of our industry verticals

  • Ability to drive value with the customer by upselling services

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple demands and reprioritize as customer timelines shift

  • Highly adaptable and open to change so that one may best serve customers needs

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills that can be applied to documentation development, curriculum review, delivery and communication

  • Experience with developing and maintaining curriculum, learning objectives, training aids, eLearning and hands-on exercises

Travel:

The position will deliver on-site training uponrequest, not to exceed 40%.
