Short Description

Position is Monday through Friday, 3:30p-12a

Primary Role

Performs a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater collection system facilities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Operates a truck and sees that it is kept properly equipped with tools, parts and construction supplies and kept neat and orderly at all times.

  • Delivers crews to assigned job sites, direct crews in job layout, safety and work to be performed.

  • Installs, maintains and repairs mains, services, valves and hydrants.

  • Investigates complaints of riled water, low pressures and similar consumer complaints.

  • Locates water lines and other utilities and services.

  • Performs other normal duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Working knowledge of the distribution system and ability to read location maps and valve indexes, make sketches and reports as necessary and required.

  • Working knowledge of distribution/collection systems is preferred.
