Hilton Banquet Set-Up Attendant - The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California

The Beverly Hilton is seeking a Banquet Set-Up Attendant (Houseperson) to join their team!

This position pays $16.60 per hour for the first 90 days, then $20.75 per hour after 90 days.

A Banquet Houseperson/Set-Up Attendant is responsible for supporting Food and Beverage operations to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while ensuring cleanliness of all areas and maintaining equipment. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Set-up and/or break down tables, chairs, stages, projectors and AV equipment according to Banquet Event Orders
  • Maintain cleanliness of banquet, meeting and conference areas to meet established cleanliness and quality standards
  • General cleaning includes, but is not limited to, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, shampooing carpets, removing trash, stocking and maintaining supply rooms, reporting maintenance deficiencies for repair/replacement
  • Ensure equipment is in full working order and report any defects
  • Project a professional manner to guests and team members
  • Assist back of house team when requested
  • Able to lift and Push Banquet Equipment, such as tables, chairs, portable bars, dance floors, etc.
  • Lift/Pull/Push at least 50 pounds min.
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislation.

Please Note: This position is part of the Local Union, which requires you to have complete open availability (days/evenings/weekends/holidays), except overnights. Full-Time hours are NOT guaranteed and may be minimal until seniority is established. Scheduling and hours for this position may vary and are based on seniority and business needs. You must be comfortable with a schedule and hours that may vary from week to week.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Basic knowledge of Meeting Rooms Set up, service standards, guest relations and etiquette
  • Knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
  • Must posses strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in outdoor areas
  • Be familiar with all events happening at the hotel
  • Ability to perform under pressure effectively for extensive periods of time while maintaining professionalism
