As part of the Lean journey, the Lead Business Consultant / Change Agent will partner closely with the businesses of the Company to facilitate a high quality deployment of the Lean Management System (LMS) across the major deployment phases (preparation, diagnostic, design, implement, and replication) leveraging the 5 lenses to drive the diagnostic design and the 10 tools/4 loops to ensure the business is working in a Lean business fashion in a sustainable manner at the completion of the implementation and replication phases before transitioning into sustainability. This role will be an active member of the Change Agent Team responsible for coordination and execution of Lean Management deployments across the Enterprise.
As a member of the ABX (Achieving Business Excellence) team, this person will also be an advocate for Lean Management System (adopted from McKinsey's model) in their interactions with staff and leadership throughout the organization and be responsible for building interest and buy-in for the Lean Management transformation throughout the Company. Aetna has locations across the U.S., travel is required, typically most weeks flying out Monday morning, returning home Thursday afternoon, work from home Fridays
Responsible for assisting with the development, facilitation and execution of complex initiatives. Work with managers to analyze, develop and implement solutions and provide coaching. Support, facilitate and/or sustain deployment of standard work and foundational Lean elements. Continuous Improvement initiatives, root cause problem solving, skill building within client area to meet minimum standards and communications with leadership to influence and drive change. May act as sustainability agent dedicated to driving sustainability of Continuous Improvements. Assist in development and execution of strategies to build and increase leadership support for change. Manage resistance to change with confidence and deliver compelling stories to illustrate the need for change. Execute change management tactics. Establish and implement diagnostic tools. Applies a variety of change management concepts, practices and procedures.
Must have Lean Management System (LMS) experience, Change Agent experience, worked on Lean deployments, business transformation
Very strong written or oral communication skills leading to the ability to influence all frontline employees and leaders.
Proficiency in Excel (e.g. pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint
Clear influencing skills
Analytical (particularly analyzing data)
Ability to see connections and systems across process
Strong project management orientation - willing to drive change and adhere to a schedule to ensure broad-coordination across business areas.
Experienced individual capable of handling broad scope projects that have short to medium-term focus
Works with guidance on more complex projects
Capable of applying knowledge to handle all but the most complex problems independently
Anticipates change and directs or redirects efforts, engages business, creating an emerging culture
Looks for and find ways to improve operations
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

ADDITIONAL JOB INFORMATION
75% travel commitment needed to travel in the U.S. for deployments.
Must be willing to travel 4 days a week. Schedule: out on a Monday, back home on Thursday, work from home on Fridays. Efforts will be made to assign Change Agents to deployments in their local/home office when possible.
