IBM SaaS Operations Manager in BLUE BELL, Pennsylvania


Your Role and Responsibilities

Are you a goal oriented, forward thinker who can manage a team and provide solutions for complex technical problems? IBM Security is looking for a leader to manage a SaaS operations team. You will need to have a strong background in Information Technology (IT) management with knowledge of data center operations, virtual platforms, network and security, compliance and managing staff. In this role you will ensure all the machinery is running smoothly and our customers are receiving the quality of service they’ve come to expect. You will have the ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting and globally distributed environment. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, optimizing and improving our systems while working with a dynamic group of engineers from around the world.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

You will succeed in this job if you have the following experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT with 6 years of IT management experience.

  • Managing and providing direction for the IT team with different domain specialists (Linux, database, network, vmware).

  • Managing IT budgets, forecasts for R&D, production and IT infrastructure.

  • Ensure security, compliance and backup of data and infrastructure.

  • Supporting regular audits (Internal, Fed Ramp, ISO, SOX).

  • Managing IT staff by recruiting, training, coaching, feedback, performance appraisals

  • Knowledge of IaaS or PaaS (SoftLayer, AWS, Azure platforms).

  • Knowledge of server, storage, network and virtualization platforms.

  • Working with vendors, procurement and finance on purchases.

  • Overseeing multiple IT projects, while ensuring that commitments and timetables are met.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to design operational solutions.

  • Technical knowledge of IT domains (server and storage, network, application layer, middleware, database, virtualization).

  • Understanding of software development life cycle and delivery process

  • Knowledge of process tools (Jira, Confluence).
