Aetna VBC Network Management Lead in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania

POSITION SUMMARY

Supports the business by recommending appropriate actions, Value-based contracting strategies and/or alternatives to meet business needs. Has responsibility for leading and building VBC strategy, innovative models. Including managing all aspects of a project and or program such as planning, coordination, development, implementation including the financial implications while prioritizing work, resources and time. Ensures the end state of the project and/or business operations meets business objective(s) and that all deliverables and due dates are met. Highly collaborative process often requires managing relationships across the segments or multiple functional areas.

Fundamental Components:

Typically manages work teams for most complex projects through to implementation. Sets strategic direction for projects and/or programs. Has full accountability for all aspects of projects and or programs such as financial, regulatory, marketing, etc.

Responsible for providing oversight to external vendors, consultants and consulting team members and/or matrixed staff as required in support of initiatives. Accountable for transferring knowledge, best practices, methodology and tools to the enterprise.

May be responsible for concurrent initiatives as team lead and/or team member, based on resource requirements.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

10+ years managed care / health insurance industry experience

Demonstrate value-based contracting expertise or acumen, including bundled and episode-of-care initiatives

Experience includes knowledge and understanding of specialty care

Multiple years proven leadership experience setting strategic direction and influencing change that resulted in quantifiable positive outcomes

Experience developing strategic plans

Proven track record managing complex projects and or programs that resulted in cost savings

Experience with enterprise-wide and/or cross-functional large-scale initiatives with high degree of complexity

Demonstrated relationship management skills at the senior level: capacity to quickly build and maintain credible relationships at varying levels of the organization simultaneously

Experience managing large budgets

Project management experience

Supervisory experience

Demonstrated negotiation skills

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
