Summary:

Supervise and coordinate all functions related to the International Accounts Payable Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day initiatives of the Accounts Payable Lead(s) and specialists. In collaboration with management, establish work standards, develop objectives and design/maintain effective work-flows, internal controls, and operating procedures for all Invoice Processing (PO and Non-PO).

  • Assist in identification and lead subsequent implementation of system and process improvements, enhancements, and automations.

  • Evaluate existing reports/reporting needs and develop a more efficient means of gathering, reporting, and distribution of data.

  • Establish and enforce the policies and procedures regarding the processing of invoices, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.

  • Oversee the reconciliation of subsidiary Accounts Payable ledgers to the general ledger; ensure suspended and aged items are investigated, researched, and posted incorrectly and make necessary corrections.

  • Reconcile and resolve escalated vendor discrepancies.

  • Have a general understanding of SOX guidelines to ensure staff maintains compliance via process documentation review (narratives) and respective quarterly updates. Will routinely interact with internal and external auditors for annual walkthroughs with support staff. Perform regular audits of work and employee work areas.

  • Work on integration of new deals/acquisitions into existing structure: policies, procedures, data load and reconciliation into Great Plains.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

  • HS Diploma/GED required.

  • Associates Degree or higher preferred.

  • 4+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable. Experience working in a high volume/multi-company environment preferred. International experience with a company operating in an international environment preferred.

  • 3+ years’ experience in management/supervision of people and/or process.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with MS Word, Excel Outlook, and Internet navigation.

  • Great Plains knowledge and other ERP AP system experience preferred.

    Language Skills:

  • English and Spanish or English and Portuguese required to communicate effectively whether orally or written.

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.

    Mathematical Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area and volume.

    Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
