Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Industrial Hygienist for employment in the Boca Raton, Florida office. AECOM is searching for candidates that have the ability to be a role model, be client-focused, be impactful and be decisive. In this role, entry-level technical new hires are eligible to participate in AECOM’s Graduate Development Program (GPD), a 2-year development experience designed to support assimilation into the organization, help with technical development planning toward licensure (or other early technical milestones), and with creating a foundation of knowledge necessary for future career success.


  • Utilize basic scientific principles, theories, practices and existing technologies to develop solutions for technical problems with limited scope

  • Collect and enter data, and apply technical principles and theories

  • Interpret and record data, conduct analyses, compare findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance

  • Work under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety, Environmental Science or Physical or Natural Sciences

  • 0-2 years related experience

  • Knowledge of environmental data collection, identification, investigation, and data entry

  • Certification in Asbestos, Mold or Lead preferred

  • Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, basic Accounting

  • Occasional travel is required, including overnight trips typically one or two week durations.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to safely drive extended distances

  • Requires the ability to bend, stoop, and lift objects up to 50lbs.

  • Requires entrance into the AECOM Medical Monitoring Program which includes initial and annual physicals and may include client required drug screens.

  • Must be able to strictly adhere to Health & Safety protocols both in the office and in the field.

  • Requires excellent interpersonal communication skills.

  • Due to the nature of this position, US Citizenship is required
