How will you make an impact?
Supervisor responsible for overseeing our Operation group in the day to day creation of complex custom printed, clinical labeling solutions. Strong administration skills and understanding of label creation that complies with all Clinical Trial Industry and cGMP standards. Ability to communicate both verbally and written with various departments to ensure information is accurately shared. Responsible for the upkeep of area documentation, which include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs).
What will you do?
Develops standards and yearly goals for employee and department performance in partnership with the Press Manufacturing Manager
Administers the Performance Management Development process for direct reports including mid- year and year-end performance discussions on time per company guidelines
Provides direct reports with clearly defined daily, monthly and yearly goals
Provides ongoing coaching and development support for the team to help reach the assigned goals
Monitors and tracks training requirements of all direct reports utilizing iComply software
Conducts daily shift meetings with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts press crews to review the days scheduling goals for the shifts and discuss any problems.
Holds direct reports accountable for their daily performance, acknowledges exemplary behaviors and implements progressive discipline, if necessary.
Works with the Material Handler and the Scheduling Group to ensure all necessary components are available to meet daily production requirements
Orders raw materials including paper and inks to maintain proper inventory levels
Works with the Scheduling group to meet delivery timelines of manufactured products and proactively communicates and resolves potential obstacles to meet established timelines
Participates in daily production meetings and actively provides feedback and suggestions to insure effective operations
Reviews all job packs prior to release to the press room to ensure that the job documentation is complete and correct
Is familiar with and is knowledgeable about all the various products and construction manufactured in his department.
Provides project support to meet company goals and objectives.
Investigates and addresses internal incidents and customer complaints in areas of responsibility insuring issues are properly tracked and monitored utilizing TrackWise software.
Monitors all area logbooks on an ongoing basis to ensure compliance with established standards
Hosts applicable contractor visits
Assists Quality Services Manager in internal audits within area(s) of responsibility
Implements and monitors all “Corrective Actions” from internal or client audits
Tracks and provides monthly metrics reports to department manager
Ensures area Work Instructions are in line with current processes and updates as necessary
Establishes procedures mirroring equipment manuals and trains staff to follow these procedures
Ensures all equipment Preventive Maintenance programs are conducted as scheduled
Maintains equipment in a “qualified” state
Maintains press rooms in an organized, clean manner
Maintains warehouse in an organized efficient manner
Maintains inventory in a controlled manner
Maintains standard set of required tools in press rooms and ensures tools are in proper functioning order
Identifies and investigates future press and manufacturing equipment
Ensures that all equipment is operated in a safe manner
Reports and secures any equipment that has become unsafe to operate
Implements ongoing process improvement to operate in the highest state of efficiency and control.
Ensures all direct reports perform their tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Provides troubleshooting assistance in the pressroom
Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
Applies Good Manufacturing Principles in all areas of responsibility

How will you get here?
• High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 3 Years’ supervisory experience in the printing industry or associated field
Familiar with the workings of a cGMP facility
Strong Leadership and persuasive communication styles
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Handles conflict diplomatically
Must have strong computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Prior Supervisory experience in a flexographic printing facility
