Business Banking Credit Services has an exciting opportunity for a talented, highly-motivated, credit savvy leader for the position of Lending Manager 3 in Boise, Idaho!

This leader will be responsible for managing lending activities for multiple business units or departments.

Job Functions Include:

  • Approving loans in excess of unit/department level authorities

  • Ensuring conformity with bank policies and procedures

  • Monitoring of delinquency, loss, and risk rating accuracy

  • Assisting relationship managers with structuring, pricing and documentation of individual loan transactions

  • Monitoring and reviewing staffs loan underwriting and portfolio management performance

  • Planning, organizing, and directing managers and staff in accomplishing business goals

  • Developing and analyzing new business prospects

  • Managing on-going account relationships

  • May be responsible for preparing or reviewing reports provided to senior management regarding portfolio performance

  • May also be responsible for reviewing and approving workout strategies for individual problem loans

As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Specifically you will:

  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your team members feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them.

  • Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.

Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture which firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company. They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of lending experience

  • 3+ years of management experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Knowledge and understanding of project and process management with ability to manage all levels of projects to include business requirements, budget and team management

  • Leadership skills including; coaching, training, and mentoring

  • Strong credit analysis skills

  • A BS/BA degree or higher in accounting, finance, or economics

  • 3+ years of leadership experience in a production environment

  • Experience monitoring: delinquency, loss, and risk rating

  • 5+ years of commercial lending experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of Moodys Risk Analyst (MRA)

  • Knowledge and understanding of business banking products, policies, and procedures

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
