Sales Development Specialist

The Sale Development Specialist role is to identify, introduce, develop and nurture business relationships with companies and individuals to increase brand recognition and foster customer loyalty. The Sales Development Specialist’s goal is to generate and maximize revenue for the company through prospecting and driving awareness towards our products and services. This role is for an experienced sales and revenue driven individual. Prospecting, Creating, and taking ownership of the sales cycle is imperative. Responsibilities

  • Daily efforts to make high volume of outbound cold calls via telephone

  • Gain knowledge of CRM tool and use appropriately to create opportunities and manage pipeline

  • Execute on business strategies to achieve desired results of opening new accounts, providing quotes, rental reservations, product awareness etc. to increase revenue

  • Identify customer needs and react appropriately with timely response

  • On call and offering after hours support to our customer’s and internal partners

  • Partner effectively with Marketing, Field Support, and cross functional teams when necessary

  • May be assigned to high visibility projects to use prospecting skills to target growth in specific segments

  • Must be comfortable contacting Executive, C Suite, and high-level decision makers to build business relationship

Requirements

  • Must be able to make high volume of outbound calls

  • Must be willing to be on call outside of business hours when necessary

  • Proven track record with 0 to 3 years of sales experience within the heavy equipment/construction markets preferred. Will strongly consider sales experience in retail, telemarketing, and B2B Focus

  • Proven experience managing a customer portfolio and providing an excellent customer experience

Skills

  • Works and communicates effectively with all levels of the company

  • Strong outbound calling skills used to generate business through lead qualification and opportunity creation

  • Takes ownership of customer experience and sales cycle

  • Previous knowledge of CRM platforms a plus

  • Ability to follow up with customers in a timely manner

  • Ability to engage in natural verbal interaction with customers and utilize sales methods to close deals

  • Must react to changing business needs

  • Multi-tasking individual who uses project management skills to accomplish goals

  • Attention to detail

  • Customer service focused

  • Solid and proven computer skill set (knowledge of MS Office is preferred)

  • Leadership skills and abilities are beneficial

Educational Background

BA/BS University degree with a concentration in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred. Will consider relevant experience
