The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing support in a wide range of functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, employee and/or labor relations, compensation and benefits administration and management, organization development, training, and special local and divisional HR projects. In addition this role’s responsibility includes management and coordination of the interface to external service providers especially external payroll services. The incumbent will drive HR functional excellence and ensure policy deployment consistent with Eaton’s values & philosophies.He/she will promote actions to reinforce employee engagement.

Your Key Deliverables:

  • Supports the assigned businesses in all HR matters including execution of individual personnel measures and ensuring all employment lifecycle processes from recruiting to end of employment.

  • Provides strategic advice to the supported business leaders, e.g. in the areas of recruiting, staffing, talent management, compensation and organizational design.

  • Drives implementation of the HR strategy and provides support through change processes.

  • Manages the interface to internal and external service providers,in particular external payroll and HR Shared Services. Defines and reviews the requirements for external payroll accounting to ensure a compliant payroll as well as audit-proof process compliance, ensures regular reporting and a KPI reporting coordinated with the controlling team.

  • Accompanies the supported business in organizational development in order to improve integration, collaboration and communication.

  • Accompanies executives and employees in HR relevant processes.

  • Provides an entrepreneurial, law-compliant and generalistic HR service.

  • Manages recruitment processes from job posting to contract signing, including contract negotiations.

  • Ensures the administrative implementation of all defined measures in close cooperation with the Eaton HR Shared Services team and external service providers.

  • Promotes trustful cooperation with internal and external bodies (e.g. works councils, authorities, associations and business networks).

  • Manages or collaborates in site-related and cross-site or divisional HR projects.


Are you?


  • University degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.

  • Several years of professional experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar function in operational human resources

  • Proven experience in the field of payroll accounting or in the management of external payroll service providers; a personal background in the operational execution of payroll services as well as comprehensive knowledge in tax and social insurance law are considered to be a plus

  • Experience in supporting and conducting payroll, tax and social insurance audits on the part of employers

  • Knowledge and experience of change management process implementation

  • Good knowledge of labor law and collective bargaining law

  • Experienced in the use of HR information systems and payroll software (ideally SAP HR)

  • Experienced in the use of MS Office programs and HR relevant tools

  • Knowledge of occupational pensions and the implementation of old-age part-time retirement schemes are an advantage

  • High level of social competence and sense of responsibility, strong teamwork, solution-oriented and independent working methods, a high degree of initiative as well as a willingness and interest to engage in a committed team

  • Analytical skills coupled with pragmatism

  • Experienced with matrix structures in multinational corporations

  • Fluent in English and German.
