IBM Compliance Offering Manager – Regulated Industries in Boston, Massachusetts

Your Role and Responsibilities

Experienced offering manager with expert background in cloud technology and related regulatory compliance and security requirements. You’ll own the worldwide compliance roadmap strategy for the public cloud offering portfolio with a focus on key regulated industries.

You possess a keen eye for key competitive differentiation and an overall understanding of our public cloud’s security and compliance posture to increase IBM's “share of mind”. Leading market sensing and holistic analyses, you'll master competitors' compliance strategy and positioning to develop public cloud POV to align stakeholders through subject matter expert engagement with multiple teams. Both persuasive and technically conversant, the Offering Manager will understand how the offering is positioned in regulated markets vs. key competitors in the areas of security and compliance - enabling you to develop go-to-market strategy for the Cloud portfolio, tying it into the broader Hybrid Cloud strategy.   • Monitor and interpret the impacts of regulatory policy changes, track and report on industry trends and competitive moves.

  • Identify and prioritize regulated workloads to target for move to public cloud by addressing specific security, regulatory, compliance and governance requirements met by IBM Cloud Framework with supporting use cases mapped to the client journey

  • Lead identification of related requirements and propose and validate solution/approach in alignment with clients/stakeholders

  • Drive requirements inclusion in roadmap and progression to delivery, oversee supporting business plan execution

  • Ensure strategy integrates both stakeholder and development feedback

  • Prioritize and negotiate requirements with other offering management groups, making trade-offs between capability and schedule

  • Drive cross-functional/cross-division/cross-unit collaboration to achieve consistency and risk mitigation

  • Lead planning and develop SME contentfor innovative GTM strategies - Converting technical positioning and value proposition into sales enablement and market messaging and content

  • Socialize competitive differentiation by segment and cohort

  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.


  • Expert understanding of cloud offering capabilities and security, compliance and regulatory landscape for public cloud.

  • Provides technical guidance to internal and external stakeholders on relevance and differentiation of security and compliance posture of public cloud offering to address opportunities and market gaps.

  • Interface at all management levels and significantly influences strategy decisions. Lead across disciplines, influences discipline leaders’ agenda, and works across Units and S&D. Effectively present strategy and roadmap to clients and ecosystem providers demonstrating technical depth. Engages with clients and stakeholders to solicit feedback and enhance strategy.

  • Leads cross discipline teams to solve complex, highly visible business problems. Shows significant ownership.

  • Specifies key performance metrics and monitors operational and market indicators. Adjusts strategy, updates communications, and manages risks. Presents offering/solution to stakeholders and collaborates, analyzing feedback for gaps and opportunities.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 10+ years experience in Offering Management

  • 5+ years experience in the Cloud Industry

  • 5+ years experience in the Regulatory, Security, and Compliance for Cloud Industry

  • Excellent collaboration skills

  • Executive level communication skills

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5+ years experience in the Financial Services, Health Care and/or Government industry preferred

  • Post-Graduate Degree
