AT&T Director of Business Development in Boston, Massachusetts

Xandr is seeking a Director of Business Development to expand our partnership efforts with data providers, media owners, advertising agencies, brands and technology partners across the advertising ecosystem. The Director of Business Development will drive new and support existing revenue growth for Xandr by establishing and maintaining effective relationships buyers, sellers, data providers and tech partners. Xandr’s Director of Business Development will source, manage and develop new and existing relationships with the goal of closing new business, maintaining superior relations with partners and clients and growing revenue. The Director of Business Development will reinforce the Xandr value proposition as the leading data-enabled tech platform powering a global premium ad marketplace.

Ideal candidates will have relationships with data providers, programmatic ad tech platform companies, television media owners with linear, addressable and CTV inventory and experience working with agencies and brands. Candidates must be highly motivated, possess outstanding communication and account management skills, have expert knowledge of the TV market as well as a solid understanding of digital advertising and programmatic technologies. In this role, the Director of BD will be required to represent Xandr externally at client meetings, social engagements and industry events. The Director of Business Development will report to the Vice President of Business Development and work closely with the executive leadership team. The position requires occasional travel to support business development efforts globally with a primary focus on the US.

Candidates will:

  • Actively identify and sign new partnerships based on Xandr needs and prioritize based upon business/revenue impact

  • Collaborate with Xandr’s product, business development and executive teams to meet the needs of our customers and partners

  • Work closely with Legal teams to ensure contract compliance and best practices

  • Improve internal knowledge by becoming the expert on the value propositions of the many programmatic, ad tech and data companies across channels and share with relevant teams

  • Identify upsell opportunities through analysis of current partnerships

  • Gain understanding of Xandr’s strategy and product offerings as well as Xandr’s point of view on industry topics to share with current and potential partners

  • Provide structured feedback to internal product teams on enhancements

Establish best practices for clients that license the Xandr platform, recommend tools and develop


  • 7+ years of relevant job experiencein software-based technology with programmatic ad tech experience

  • Strong track record of success striking strategic partnerships in the ad tech ecosystem

  • Strong industry contacts, existing relationships and credibility across media owners, data providers, ad tech platforms, agencies and brands

  • Experience in generating new business and managing complex contracts

  • Proven success in building rapport across internal stakeholders (e.g. Legal, Product, Sales, Operations and Finance)

  • Solid understanding of the television and digital ecosystem

  • Superior presentation skills at the executive level, great communication and interpersonal skills

  • Proven experience building customer relationships and developing growth

  • Experience in negotiating technical requirements, business details, timelines and other relevant terms with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ability to think strategically about growing annual account revenue

  • Self-starter capable of flourishing in a fast-paced environment

  • BA/BS Degree required
