CBRE HSE Sr Manager - REMOTE in Boston, Massachusetts

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this position is to design, develop, implement and provide on-going support to critical HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) programs at the Platform level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reduce vehicle-related loss: Program owner responsible to evaluate, improve, implement and maintain Americas Motor Vehicle Driving Safety Program.

Major program components will include driver complaint response, accident reporting and investigation, driver authorization, driving performance monitoring and driver disciplinary action.

Defines, tracks and communicates Safe Driving Program metric performance. Monitors driving safety industry trends, emerging technology and best practices. Reduce contractor-related loss for CBRE-managed scope of work: Program owner for Contractor Management Program including GRMS (Global Risk Management System) and HSE Supplier Council. Responsible to evaluate, improve, implement and maintain contractor safety programs for Americas. Other duties will include evaluating existing HSE programs and initiatives to assess suitability, adequately and effectiveness. Utilize metric data in conjunction with program review results to facilitate resolution of identified opportunities. Identify best practices and assist with design, development and implementation of new injury prevention and compliance assurance programs. Essential Skills and Knowledge Experience assessing and promoting or sustaining a zero incident HSE culture. Strong change management skills, to support delivery of HSE services using organic/operational deployment model.

Possess an understanding of enterprise HSE delivery models, capable of translating strategic plans into tactical action plan(s). Highly self-motivated with strong passion and sense of urgency. Must be effective in a matrix environment, with strong influencing skills. Experience creating goodwill and promoting accountability across the value chain, with experience encouraging others to action. Knowledge of management systems and process improvement techniques (e.g., six sigma) a plus. Comfortable in leading meetings, strong presentation skills and well versed in effective employee training. May include training at client sites. Must have strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented; self-directed, extremely organized with outstanding administrative abilities. Experience in analyzing maintenance and facilities implementation processes to identify both hazards and controls. Excellent verbal, written communication, problem-solving and report writing skills. Must demonstrate strong computer/administrative skills: MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook Experience with Tableau, Smartsheet and/or other analytical software preferred

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Minimum of 8 years of related experience. Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local health and safety, and environmental regulations is essential. Direct experience dealing with regulatory agencies and / or compliance officers is required.

Fleet Safety / Driving Safety program management experience at a divisional or corporate level strongly preferred.
Contractor Safety Program Management program experience at a divisional or corporate level strongly preferred.Experience working in any one or multiples of the following is essential:

Fleet safety, chemical processing and refining environments, manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical / biotechnology, construction, heavy industry, and facility maintenance and management.

CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES

As required by local authority (if required). Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST) - Preferred

An automotive fleet safety designation such as the following is preferred.• CAFM (Certified Automotive Fleet Manager)• CAFS (Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist)• NATMI Certification: CDS (Certified Director of Safety) or CSS (Certified Safety Supervisor)• ARN (Automotive Resource Network)

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues. Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures. Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.
