What will you do?

  • A driven Product Manager who will develop a strategy and roadmap for Service & Support of the vertical markets (e.g. human identification, animal health, food safety, etc.) and develop a comprehensive strategy/partnership for Service & Support in OEM agreements.

  • S/He will serve as product champion and be responsible for product introduction, training, support, and life cycle management.

  • S/He will provide market and competitive insights and strategic recommendations to enable GSD to better serve our customers and drive growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage business strategy including market outlook, competitive assessment, opportunity prioritization and product roadmap for service & support portfolio

  • Leverage qualitative & quantitative market research to develop customer-centric service & support offerings, tailored as needed to specific regions/segments, that drive growth for the business

  • Ensure robust commercialization of NPIs including business modeling, SKU & product hierarchy setup, establish list price & discount guidelines

  • Partner with Business Unit & GSS Marketing teams on go-to-market plan execution, including value proposition creation, to maximize service attachment

  • Manage complete service & support product life cycle including pricing and discontinuation strategies to minimize customer or revenue impact

  • Partner with Service Development and Service Innovation teams to ensure alignment of NPI and lifecycle management goals / strategy

  • Understand, own and report on financial performance (e.g. revenue, margin), trends and key service attachment metrics to Business Unit & GSS Leadership

  • May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned.

How will you get there?

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Engineering or Marketing

Requirements:

  • At least three (3) years of commercial or product management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully launch new products in a dynamic market place

  • Experience with financial modeling or data analysis skills

  • Ability to build and analyze models to forecast and track results

  • Ability to distill customer requirements, understand competitive strengths and weaknesses, and develop compelling product offerings and value propositions addressing competitive threats

  • Experience effectively communicating, building strong cross-functional relationships and working closely with other teams across the business at all levels

  • Experience leading teams without direct authority

  • Self-starter with the ability to create and execute plans based on a vision

  • Able to act in a relatively autonomous capacity and encounter problems of diverse scope and moderate to high complexity

  • Experience with life sciences or clinical research products and services
