Verizon Product Manager - Video Game Producer in Boston, Massachusetts
What you’ll be doing...
The Verizon 5G Product Management Group is charged with delivering next-generation experiences to customers. The 5G Gaming Product Manager will primarily be responsible for driving requirements and priorities for key gaming products and services for customers who love to play a wide variety of mobile/PC/Console games. We are looking for a candidate that will define and drive the future of gaming.
You will form and deliver world-class, cross-channel experiences that create significant business value and entice customers.
Identify: Work with key stakeholders across Engineering, Design, User Research, Marketing, Business Intelligence, Platform Strategy, to identify opportunities for new gaming experiences for customers.
Determine opportunities using a variety of channels including data analytics, competitive research, design hypotheses.
Identify user needs, create compelling solutions, define and prioritize requirements on a roadmap, and balance scope with cost to deliver maximum customer value to market.
Collaborate to define and support the product roadmap and business strategy based on a deep understanding of game design and engagement/monetization mechanics.
Build: Define testing protocol, set up and execute multivariate tests, establish benchmarks internally and externally, measure performance and provide actionable recommendations to Design and Production teams.
Work closely with development, production and design teams to conceptualize, define, design, and manage features and functionality that support the overall strategic vision of the product.
Drive competitive reviews of external games and translate best practices into actionable product strategies and tactical roadmaps. Create well-written, succinct documents and presentations.
Launch: Establish KPIs, assess performance and identify improvement opportunities.
Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
Assist in licensing portfolio of Console/PC/Mobile titles by providing a content roadmap.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
Six or more years of relevant work experience
Even better if you have:
At least three years of experience as a Product Manager and/or Game Producer in the video game industry or related field
Experience at a gaming studio
Deep knowledge of video game industry from the perspectives of the consumer, developer, publisher, platform holder and press.
Experience in online gameplay, tournaments, or competitions.
Experience defining, managing large-scale consumer products from inception to completion.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of stakeholders and project team members (UX designers, engineers, managers, game developers).
Experience working in a technical capacity.
