AECOM Senior Structural Engineer (Bridge) in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary

AECOM currently has an opportunity for an Experienced Bridge Engineer to join the growing team of professionals in our Transportation Bridge Group in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will contribute primarily in bridge design projects.

Specifics of the role include:

  • Conceptual, preliminary and detailed final design of new bridges.

  • Assessment and rehabilitation design of existing bridges.

  • Load rating of existing bridges.

  • Project engineering and project management.

  • Proficient in the use of computer software for the analysis and design of complex bridges and other structures.

  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight project schedules.

  • Preparation of technical specifications, technical reports, design calculations, and provisions of construction phase services.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. As a team-player, you are professional in dealing with colleagues of all levels and disciplines. Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering

  • 10+ years of progressive experience designing and detailing highway transportation structures

  • Licensed Professional Engineer

  • Experience as lead structural engineer

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, STAAD and other general software

  • Understanding of structural engineering principles and the skills to utilize it to provide innovative solutions for simple or complex structural engineering problems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering with structural engineering focus
