The UX DESIGNERshall be responsible in providing the Government Product Manager a clear understanding of user needs, user experience interviews, and support creating the look and feel of the application.

Support the Discovery and Framing process and follow-on user interviews
continuously learn user trends and behaviors as part of each design cycle
Performing a user-centered approach in the application design development
Advise on product decisions through user research, customer development, and iterative feedback loops
Implement Lean UX principles in defining minimum viable products (MVP) for prototyping and testing
Implement iterative development and delivery
Pair with a Pivotal Labs SW Designer and other members of the team (contractor and government)
Develop Software (SW) application briefing presentations

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor’s Degree or higher, in experience design, industrial design, HCI, or related field or 3 years of relevant work experience in UX, product design, and/or enterprise application fields
3 years' experience with front end Java Script development
2 years of relevant work experience in UX, product design and/or enterprise application fields or relevant customer-facing job role
Experience includes User Centered Design (UCD) methods
Experience working with HTML/CSS and Browser Developer Tools
Experience in the design and/or development of full service applications
Experience working in a rapid and iterative development environment
Experience creating flow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, and visual comps, with a strong portfolio that demonstrates this
Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and InVision
Experience with the design and product development processes
Experience with early-stage design, ideation techniques, and research methods
Excellent management, communication, and presentation skills
Experience collaborating with a team of programmers with varying skillsets
Experience with agile and lean philosophies
Must have a SECRET clearance
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Solid understanding of user-centered design, visual design, and usability best practices
Must be able to build wireframes and mockups
Ability to work individually and within a team and assist teammates to achieve team commitments
Ability to discuss, present and defend designs and design decisions with cross-functional and non-technical audiences
Must be able to travel up to 25% (travel may be required for this position).
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
Strong organizational skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and problem solve in a deadline-driven environment
Must be detail oriented
