Job Description

Working under minimal supervision, this position, the Client Executive, is an enterprise level, direct contributor sales position responsible for selling all Watson Health Payer solutions across a defined Named Health Plans within the United States. The Client Executive will work directly with health plans and third-party administrators to understand their current business needs and requirements around both departmental and enterprise wide visions and represent the full spectrum of Watson Health capabilities to deliver value to the prospective client. The Client Executive will represent Watson Health and provide leadership within the account acting as the quarterback, leading strategic opportunities, while working directly with product specific Sales Specialists, and guiding Subject Matter Experts.

Essential Job Duties

  • Net New business development with health plans and third-party administrators.

  • Assist in arranging affiliation relationships with other healthcare and healthcare-related organizations that are linked to their client

  • Build key relationships within the C-Suite and departmental leadership teams

  • Meet or exceed all assigned quotas for sales and pipeline growth

  • Participate in and manage contract negotiations

  • Analyze customer's needs and recommend solutions that best meet customer's requirements

  • Emphasize scalable features such as flexibility, cost, capacity, and economy of operation

  • Able to reach a consultative level of selling with the customer

  • Quarterback and collaborate internally, in a team selling model

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 5 years experience of selling to executive level decision makers

  • 5 years experience of the health care payer/health plan market

  • 5 years proven ability to build sales pipeline and progress opportunities through each stage of the sales cycle from lead generation to contract execution

  • 5 years of sales experience in healthcare technology

  • 5 years consultative selling skills

Preferred Tech and Prof Experience

  • 7 years of sales experience in healthcare technology

  • 5 years payer/benefit job experience

  • 5 years with claims processing workflow knowledge

  • 5 years with value based care and population health experience
